Controller tester - PS5, PS4, Xbox & Switch

Test every part of your controller in the browser: model and firmware, every button, stick drift and circularity error, triggers, vibration, battery, speaker and microphone. Plug it in with a cable or pair it by Bluetooth, then press any button.

Press any button on your controller…

Firmware and battery need Chrome or Edge on a computer and a PlayStation controller (DualSense, DualSense Edge, DualShock 4). Everything else works with any controller.

Each button turns green once it works. ⚠ bounce = the button registered twice in a split second (worn switch or dirty contact).

Stick drift & circularity

Left stick

Right stick

Circularity error = how far the stick's outer edge strays from a perfect circle, averaged around 72 directions. Under 8 % is excellent, under 15 % is fine, above that the stick or its calibration is worn. Drift = how far the stick sits from centre with your hands off: under 0.05 is clean, 0.05-0.10 mild, above 0.10 is drift.

Vibration, speaker & microphone

Vibration

Feel each motor separately.

Speaker & microphone

DualSense / DualShock 4 on a USB cable. Your browser asks for microphone access to find the controller's audio.

Controller problems explained

My stick drifts - can it be fixed?

Drift above 0.10 with hands off is usually a worn potentiometer stick. Replacing it with a Hall-effect stick cures drift for good; a technician recalibrates the controller afterwards so the centre and range match the new stick.

What is a good circularity error?

Under 8 % is excellent and under 15 % is normal for most controllers. A high error on one side means the stick's range or calibration is off - common after a stick replacement without calibration.

Can the website read battery health?

The controller only reports its charge level and charging state (plus fault flags such as a temperature or charging error). Real battery wear is not reported by the controller, so no website can show it. A battery that drops fast or a charging error flag points to a worn battery or the charging circuit.

Why does my controller not show up?

Browsers hide controllers until you press a button. If it still doesn't appear, try a different USB cable (many are charge-only) or re-pair Bluetooth.
